comment ZFS reads on FreeBSD incredibly slow
Strange, I was expecting the fragmentation to be shown in zpool list.

The output of zpool list mysqlrot might help.

comment Apache - unset a directive
<If> can appear in the server config, virtual host, directory, .htaccess contexts and the poster is using ScriptAliasMatch in the server config context so I think <If> would work.

How about apt-cache madison libmysqlclient16?

comment Differing Internal vs External MX records
This is called "split horizon" DNS and you are going to have to make the internal DNS server authoritative for foo.com and include all the records for foo.com, not just the MXes. (Typically: I'm only familiar with BIND and PowerDNS.)

comment Dynamically Restrict What CPU's a new process runs
Is a wrapper script using numactl not an option? I.e, rename fastx to fastx.bin and create a script fastx with numactl --cpunodebind=0 fastx.bin "$@" in it.

comment Differing Internal vs External MX records
If this internal DNS server is merely a recursor this scheme is not going to work.

That version is from squeeze (6), not wheezy (7). What is the output of apt-cache madison libmysqlclient-dev?

comment cpufreq-info differs from /proc/cpuinfo?
Since bios_limit is 2201000 setting /sys/module/processor/parameters/ignore_ppc to 1 probably won't help but you might try that.

comment cpufreq-info differs from /proc/cpuinfo?
I mispoke. I didn't mean it was limiting it to 1.2GHz; rather it is definitely being scaled down to 1.2GHz and /proc/cpuinfo is wrong.

comment cpufreq-info differs from /proc/cpuinfo?
Doubtfully helpful but what is in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/bios_limit?

comment Use Apt Inside AWS VPC Without NAT Instance
Allowing outbound does reduce security. "Egress filtering helps ensure that unauthorized or malicious traffic never leaves the internal network." (from wikipedia).

comment why my nat iptables rules dont work with marked packets?
I don't know about TPROXY. I did try to make this work with NOTRACK in the PREROUTING chain of the raw table (matching only on ip and port) but was unsuccessful.
