comment Re-routing with iptables
For this to work you also need to enable IPv4 forwarding. echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

comment How does browser resolve websites in my company network..?
When you connect to the network, your computer asks if there is a DHCP server around. The your company DHPC responds with "I'm the DHCP, this is now your IP, and these are your new DNS servers." From there on out your computer (including your browser) uses those DNS servers to resolve any domain names.

comment Really high load readings while the server seems indle
How many cores does the machine have? Use grep -e "^processor" /proc/cpuinfo | wc -l if you don't know. You need to take the number of cores in to account when looking at the load average.

@pauska The argument one could make is that ServerFault strives to be the first and best Google result for all server related questions. Even the obvious, easy and lazy questions belong here.

Netstat shows that Apache is listening on 3333. Looks like you got the configuration part right. The problem is elsewhere.

comment How do I set up a VirtualHost for my mail?
At the risk of stating the obvious: you have to restart your Apache before it can listen on the new port. Could you append your question with the output of netstat -tulpn | grep -e ':3333' -e ':80' -e ':8080' -e ':443' ?

comment How do I set up a VirtualHost for my mail?
3 statements are needed to make this work. Listen 3333, NameVirtualHost *:3333 and <VirtualHost *:3333>. Do you have all 3 in your Apache configuration?
