TristanK, I know the developer and it does not support multi-instancing.

Well because I have a 2nd web server, So here's what I did. I used an extra switch to plug the 3 machines into. I put all 3 servers'2nd network cards a different subnet, and plugged them into the switch to nowhere. As soon as there was a 2nd connection with SQL - it brought it down, lost network connectivity with main network card on SQL server. I must be missing something - any idea?

Wow - that's it? Seems pretty straight forward. I wan't sure what I would have to do in SQL to make it work properly.

comment Best Practice - Setting up 2 AD intragrated DNS servers for internal network
Done and checked all 4 points. Is the a length of time that I can check out or set for the amount of time before a client checks the 2nd dns server?

My goal is to have a DC sitting there on the network in case my main DC goes down. My understanding was that you would always want a 2nd DC for redundancy. However, i never get the failover I want.

I actually miss-spoke. the 2nd server is server core. I'm putting in a RODC at the remote site I'm installing.

Alharaka, Thanks for the great advise with WPKG, I've never heard of it but if I had a Linux Environment I'd be looking into it now. Pros I have the infrastructure in place, so no extra cost I have a Windows 2003 Functional Level domain, so I can definitely go with group policy - Minimal time spent for configuration/setup Cons Updates is that you have to install the original program in order to push the updates with GP. Thanks Phygg

Sounds like it would take quite a bit to setup, can you point me to any documentation? I think, because I already have the infrastructure setup - this may be worth a try. Do I need to edit the startup scripts when new updates come out? How do I do it???
