Awesome. This looks like what I am looking for. I'd go back and try to trace this down in kernel code - just to be sure :-)

I want to run vncserver instances and be able to provide selected users access to access that i.e. user1 on :1 , user2 on :2 and so on. How can I accomplish that?

Happened again and couldn't execute any command from anywhere. I moved to a different server with lower load!

I will try and see when such situation happens again. I believe, I would not be able to execute anything out of of vim also.

comment freebsd server access remotely
So, KVM is a switch right? I need some sort of software only solution. Also, if I use SSH to connect to a machine, I have a few questions: 1) I have att dsl at home, so everytime I reboot the machine, I will get a new IP, that means, I need to know the IP and then I Can connect, right? am I missing anything here? 2) can I get GUI (like remote desktop) via ssh? Thanks much.
