comment How to add multiple IPv4 Subnets to a VLAN using Allied Telesyn at9924 Switch?
Alliedware seems to protect their core manual. What you're after is called a "secondary" ip address in Cisco terms. They might allow you to create subinterfaces ie... int vlan15.2 wish I could give you more but without documentation I can't.

Yes, but it won't route it.

comment Blocking STP Traffic
What kind of switch is your system connected to? A managed switch has the capability to put ports in an STP mode that quiets this down a bit.

comment Cisco Port Buffer Memory
and just for good measure, I've seen 3750s fall on their face time and again in regards to iSCSI, the new 3800s are supposed to shore that up a bit. I'm less familiar with Nexus for this purpose.

comment Cisco Port Buffer Memory
Be aware the 6200 series does not have the larger port buffers that the 5500 has. they used to recommend the old 5000s but the 5500s are a pretty big step up.

comment Cisco Port Buffer Memory
Check out the Dell 5500 powerconnects for iSCSI. They have big buffers, and automatically QoS properly as Jason below has suggested and they have built-in stacking over HDMI that has enough bandwidth to suit most people's needs. On a budget, they're not badly priced either, but I'd ONLY use them as a storage fabric if I could help it.

I'll echo Chopper... take off and nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

comment Need to prevent SBS 2003 disabling its DHCP server if it sees another DHCP server on network
What kind of switch are you using? You can use DHCP snooping to squash DHCP services from non-authorized sources.
