comment Webserver issues | PHP manager for IIS
Thanks. Your comment is a workaround for posted issue phpmanager.codeplex.com/workitem/1889 , but codeplex comments are busted at the moment so I can't make a link from there to here.

comment OpenVPN: both tcp/udp
Indeed: 18 months later, I too have found that sometimes OpenVPN over tcp will work when OpenVPN over udp will not.

comment Determine if filesystem or partition is mounted RO or RW via Bash Script?
That seems to test filesystem permission, but not mount status.

comment Prevent data corruption on ext4/Linux drive on power loss
you said fsck seems to fix your problem: you can tell ext4 to fsck every boot by setting "Maximum mount count" to one. (I'm a little unclear on whether tune2fs -c0 always runs e2fsck or never runs e2fsck, but it's one or the other.)

comment Best way to do Subversion backups?
Two things if you are going to go the svnsync route: 1) if you have a large repo start with a svnadmin hotcopy, as it is much faster and backs ups data beyond /db/revs 2) add the svnsync call to the source repo post-commit hook so that the mirror is always up to date. (But keep that out of the mirror's hooks so the mirror does't try to mirror itself!)

comment Is customer data in SQL Azure safe?
SQL Azure requires connection-level encryption (TDS over SSL). However, Azure does not support transparent data encryption of the backing data like stand-alone instances of SQL Server do.
