comment MySQL unable to connect to database
I use dev.yorhel.nl/ncdu in order to find what is using the space, it scans the file system and then sorts folders by size so you can drill down to find the culprit. Although you'll need some space in order to install it.

How've you got RRDtool graphing it? I've had a google but I think my google-foo must be low at the moment as I couldn't find anything.

comment How is a SSL certificate validated?
I had totally forgotten CRLs exist and even now can't remember anything about them. My memory is rusty as it's been years since I learnt this stuff and I haven't used it since then. Feel free add info about them if you want.

Another alternative is service apache2 restart, although I'm not sure how that differs from the previous 2 if at all

comment How Often Do Windows Servers Need to be Restarted?
It sounds like your servers get rebooted more often than my laptop. I generally it into sleep mode when I'm not using it. The usual reason for doing a reboot is installing windows updates or software.

comment How to create a Mail Server?
When setting up a mail server you have to be very careful about the security options as it is possible for an incorrectly configured mail server to be used to relay spam, which can end up with the server being blacklisted. For my domain email I use a web/email provider and pay <£15 a year for it, so having someone else do the hard work for you doesn't have to be expensive.
