comment How can we migrate outlook emails to Google domains
@Nava Yes it costs money but from my experience this is well-invested Money. You can use the trial to evaluate MigrationWiz. Here is the pricing table: bittitan.com/migrationwiz/pricing

Thank you for your help. I just tried as suggest but the command still fails. If print out the $SVNCommand with Write-Host everything looks good. I can even copy and paste the command line to the CMD where everything works as expected.

comment I'm looking for a robust way to determine if a service can be stopped or killed
Thank you for your answer. The service I want to monitor is not written by someone of your company or customers company. Is's OpenText StreamServe so it's closed source. The idea with handle.exe from sysinternals was the first thing which came in my mind. But I want to hear some alternatives to my solution.

comment I'm looking for a robust way to determine if a service can be stopped or killed
@jscott we need to know if the service can be stopped. Sorry for the unclear question. As I mentioned also in my comment above we have the problem that sometimes the service can't be stopped via SCM. So we have to kill the service. But to prevent any data loss or corruption we need to assure that the service is not processing any data.

@HopelessN00b but sometimes we have the problem that the service control manager can't shutdown the service even although the service is not processing any data.

comment Share Permissions
Just for clarification: You want to restrict access to the windows shares on the server. Not to a IIS Website.
