I gained a broad set of experiences by programming since 1993 in different fields of engineering application. With a speciality in computer vision & CAD, I’m also the inventor of a US patent-pending algorithm in the field of Facility Management.

My current technology focus is on Cloud Computing, mobile computing and HPC. At home I do math, robotics and sculpting.

Note: This should be a comment but I only have 13pts so... To help with this kind of question, it would help to give more information about your setup. Lets start with two basic one: What kind of manual configuration did you do after going through the install process on both machines? What is the content of the eucalyptus.conf file on both machines? This is important since manual configuration is necessary after installation.

@mattdm, you’re right it’s doable. What I like with the two machines setup is the fact that it’s simple and that it prevents the simple fake of ‘just-starting-a-VM-by-hand-without-using-the-cloud’
