Internal Server 500 Error Well Tom if I had my way I would never touch the stuff but unfortunately circumstances didn't allow for that at the time and I'm not the one in charge so I had to ask the question. That's what this site is for isn't it? So rather than leaving sarcastic comments (almost a year after the question was posted too) that don't help anyone why don't you so outside and be a sarcastic jerk to real people and see how long that lasts. |

Internal Server 500 Error - NT AUTHORITY \ NETWORK Service with Incorrect Permissions Hi Olivier, thanks, something like that actually sounds vaguely familiar. I've checked out the isapi filters in IIS for the site, however there is no PHP isapi extension :S I added it in, however it didn't seem to make a difference. Without the isapi filter, the page seems to try to load for about 30 seconds, then displays the 500 error. With the php isapi filter, it immediately displays the 500 error. Not sure if that matters to the situation or not. |

SQL Server 2008 database Backup Hi Mark, thanks for the reply. I actually managed to dig out the other backup file, two .bak files. I'm not sure how that happened but I should be able to restore the database now. thanks :) |

Domain name URL defaults to IP address Thanks for the reply @Caleb. Had figured out that there was no host name set for the site settings in IIS. |

http internal server error 500 It might be useful to point out that if I visit the site's full URL, e.g. example.com/index.html I can see the site, same with the other site pages however some images appear broken. Some pages still however return the http 500 error. |

FTP Error 530, User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible In the end I gave up and started from scratch. I appeared to do the exact same thing I was doing before but for some reason this time it worked! Thanks for your help. |

FTP Error 530, User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible Hi, User isolation is in place. I'm taking over the management of the server (despite a complete lack of server experience!) from the guy who originally set it up. |

website doesn't display with domain name @dunxd..thanks for the reply. The problem seemed to correct itself after an email to the domain name registration company. Seems it was a problem at their end. thanks :) |

website doesn't display with domain name @bortzmeyer, apologies. I didn't want anyone to debug it. It was just a general "is there anything else I can do" type question. Thanks for the link. |
