comment Domain Delegation isn't working
Thanks -- it turns out that there was a separate management console to edit the domain delegation. They use cPanel to manage hosting accounts, and then use a separate "customer portal" to manage domain delegation.

Thanks @Marki! Much appreciated.

comment Apache VirtualHost configuration won't get matched
I fixed the Apache VirtualHost configuration to match 8080, and it started working. However, I have a new problem with redirects.

comment Apache VirtualHost configuration won't get matched
@Marki Your comments got me on the right track. The Varnish configuration was pointing to Apache on TCP 8080 instead of TCP 80. This is why the rule wasn't matching.

comment Apache VirtualHost configuration won't get matched
@Marki Good question -- I had a feeling it might be something related to the middle-tier services. How could I verify this? Some way to see the headers that Apache is seeing?

@Marki I just added the output from apachectl -S

comment Apache VirtualHost configuration won't get matched
Yeah I should have specified -- the NGINX instance is running TLS certificates, and accesses Varnish over TCP 6081. Varnish is configured to hit Apache 2.4 on HTTP (non-TLS) port 80.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure what that is. A separate configuration file?

comment Azure closing idle network connections
Have you had any trouble maintaining a RDP session to the remote server? Was the server built using a custom image or from the gallery?

comment Azure closing idle network connections
Have you tested on multiple devices? Also, are you accessing the application using a public endpoint, or privately via an Azure virtual network (ExpressRoute, site-to-site, or point-to-site VPN)?

I would be surprised if Azure was doing this. Do you have any proof that it's Azure, and not your local network?

comment Difference between isntalling a msi using “Invoke-WmiMethod”(via a cmd file) and installing directly on the server
Show some code, and provide more detail. What is "key file in bin directory?" Why are you expecting there to necessarily be a reboot?

comment IPAM installation fails due to insufficient SQL permissions
I granted the computer's Active Directory computer account the sysadmin role on the database engine instance. That includes the CREATE DATABASE permission, among most others.

comment Powershell deleting files with regular expressions
The PowerShell pipeline is a huge performance bottleneck. For large datasets, I'd suggest iterating over the $results variable with foreach and using an if statement for comparison.

comment How to pass parameters to a function?
Yeah, gotta be careful if you only get a single item back -- by casting it explicitly as an array, you get consistent results, so you can iterate over it using foreach.

comment How to pass parameters to a function?
Blah. Reasons like this are why I avoid built-ins like Foreach-Object in favor of using the good ol' raw foreach looping construct.

comment Robocopy falsely marks files as newer
Is there anything common about the filetypes that are getting marked newer?

comment Why can't I delete a folder that I have ownership (+ children) AND full control permissions (+ children) on?
Ok, so I ran handle.exe > c:\handle.txt, used Notepad2 to search the log for one of the folder names, and it can't find anything. So, no dice, sorry.

comment Why can't I delete a folder that I have ownership (+ children) AND full control permissions (+ children) on?
Excellent -- I'll grab Sysinternals Process Explorer or handle.exe and see if anything has a file handle open in that folder. I should have thought of that, thanks.

comment DSGET escapes hash signs (#) in outputted Distinguished Names (DN)s but expects unescaped hash signs for input
Wait a second .. I have no idea what I was thinking earlier. Forget I said that. Find is a built-in command to cmd.exe, not an external executable, but I still have no idea why I even suggested that.
