Becoming a better version of myself.

I find great satisfaction in developing solutions that make it easier and simpler for people to do their jobs.

I really want to learn to make quality applications with good code. To get there, I plan on sharing plenty of bad code from my poor applications in hopes that I might become a better developer.

comment Apache Virtual Host redirect from subdomain to subdirectory
This worked, but I had to comment out ServerAlias *.mysite.com in my mysite.com VirtualHost. That wasn't so bad. The only things it was catching were blog. and www., so I just changed the * to www and was all set! Much thanks!

comment How to move site and switch link structure using HTTP 301 redirect
I found I also had to turn on rewrite using a2enmod rewrite. This answer on StackOverflow was quite helpful.

comment How to move site and switch link structure using HTTP 301 redirect
I tried changing my URL permalink structure and got 404s back. Perhaps Wordpress doesn't cover this?

comment Set up Apache2 to server multiple directories on the same domain based on URL path
That worked! Another thing I had to do was delete the extra virtual hosts files that I had created for the same domain. I kept thinking I had a problem in my new virtualhost setup when really I just had too many files.

Thanks for the quick response! If this works, I'll be quite grateful and will feel a little silly that I didn't figure it out myself :-)
