Well, I wasn't aware that there were many vendors for cron , and this seems to be a problem. This not-working one is dillon's lightweight cron daemon, and I was using Vixie Cron on other machine (that works fine). Please post it as an answer so I can accept it.

I do not want to receive anything into my server or anyone to connect to it. I've got few cron jobs running and I want to be able to receive emails from these scripts (like echo "job1 finished" | mail -s "job1 status" my@email.com) on my existing email account. So my question is how to connect to other server SMTP Relay, knowing that my ISP is blocking port 25.

Does not work, besides there is no handler for HTML files. HTML was only example, it applies to all extensions: test.php.gif, test.php.txt etc. are all treated as fastcgi scripts, so even if removing handler would work, there is no way to define all possible extensions to remove handler.

Please read carefully. This is what I have and it is still executing if there is .php in the file name followed by the dot. Dollar sign was my first guess but failed so I'm still using the line without dollar.
