comment nginx ignores my include directive?
Ahhh... I though it was relative to the root directory of nginx. Now it works fine! But I'm curious why it doesn't work with absolute paths? What happens if these files are outside nginx's home?

comment what is the equivalent rewrite rule in nginx
I think he should be using permanent in this case because in apache R=301 means Redirect=Code. The code he has posted would generate HTTP status code 301 (Moved permanently). httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/mod_rewrite.html#rewriterule

If you need somebody to do your work - hire a developer! You could have at least accepted the answer of @AlexD!

Yes that's correct. In my case, though, it's the other way around. I don't know why. I guess the admin has done some custom settings or something...

Also it appears you can do it like this mount -t smbfs -o username=MyUsername "//10.0.0.2/$D" /mnt/machine_1_d. This also appears to be working properly. Thanks!

comment Set generic iptables rules?
You're absolutely right. The problem was the order of execution. After I changed a couple of lines and added -I everything started working fine. Thanks! :)
