I'm a Customer Architect at Chef, where I work with organizations to help them use Chef’s automation platform to provide speed and flexibility to their infrastructure. I am devoted to concepts like Continuous Delivery and Infrastructure as Code, and my license plate actually says “DevOps”. I am the creator and co-host of the popular "Arrested DevOps" podcast.
I'm definitely more from the "ops" side of "DevOps", with 20 years experience in system administration in all sorts of wacky places, ranging from Big Banks to ecommerce shops. In my spare time, I pretend to be a front-end developer on the DevOpsDays.org and ArrestedDevops.com websites, and annoy my friends with actual skills in this arena with my foolish attempts.
