Thanks Greg, will check the links more thoroughly but we are not using session state and we are not using output caching except for 1 action in the entire application.

@GregAskew I can see in the IIS Logs the same cs-username across different requests, different IPs. And yes, the application displays data based on the authenticated user's identity (WindowsIdentity)

That is an interesting approach. I guess my only concern would be for allowing CR LF characters in. I will look into it a bit more.

Interesting, the article mentions "For merge replication, a Subscriber to a merge publication can be any version no later than the Publisher version. For more information about compatibility for earlier versions, see "Compatibility Level for Merge Publications" later in this topic." So it seems the answer is No?

Hello - Did you notice the versions are different for the Publisher (Sql 2005) and the Subscriber (Sql 2008)? That is the part I haven't found info about.
