comment zip of files with extended attributes
Actually just zip with --xattrs because zip otherwise does everything I need.

My understanding is that even if you put decompress and extract into the same tar command (xj), tar still needs to decompress the entire file before it can extract, or at least until it finds the file, as tar doesn't have a directory like zip does. Something I'd like to avoid.

comment Change shell prompt based on container name?
@Kondybas: from inside the container, you can't, just like you can't tell which host you ssh'd into if they were installed from the same configuration before you started customizing (hostname, ...)

@Kondybas: no. I don't think there is supposed to be any, systemd-nspawn even cleans up the environment before instantiating the container.

Didn't know about that flag. Thank you.

Never mind the user; the machine is on the public internet, and I simply don't want the possibility of anybody logging on without ssh keys which are stronger than any password.

comment VPN with client-to-client direct connectivity?
@captcha: seems tinc does what I want. Any particular reason you moved to OpenVPN?

comment VPN with client-to-client direct connectivity?
@captcha: if I understand you correctly, your home machine is what I call the server, and your work machine the client. Now add a second client (say, another work machine). My question: can the second work machine send a packet to the first work machine over the VPN without going through your home server?
