comment Lighttpd: specify two http hosts with same document root?
I had a complete brain fart and wrote up a whole answer for nginx :-D I'm not sure how to set this up in lighttpd but the correct thing to do is to pick one name to be the "canonical" hostname and redirect the "wrong" hostname to the right one with a 301 redirect. Google's explanation is here.

comment Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate File Not Found Error, but still working
@jarvis in that case it might be SELinux related. Check its audit log and see audit2allow

comment Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate File Not Found Error, but still working
Almost certainly some permission or other error preventing apache from reading the file

comment How to escape a - in a table name in mysqldump
If this is run from a shell, the shell will probably strip a layer of quotes ,so you would probably need mysqldump --ignore-table='"foo-bar".tl_log'

comment Redirect IP to domain using SSL
If someone enters https://111.111.11.111/ there is no way to redirect them until after they have securely connected.

comment SSL connections reset with Nginx
What does nginx's log say about the connection? Have you checked with netstat that nginx is actually listening on 443? Also, I think there are supposed to be spaces between the ssl_protocols but that would probably cause an obvious error.

comment Postfix and PostgreSQL: How to make same aliases work for different domains?
I'm not a postfix admin but as a database user I suspect select_field should be the column that has the destination email, and the where_field should be the column postfix is searching.

comment postgresql produce i/o load if nobody is connected
@Floyd In addition to checkpoints logged every X seconds, postgresql performs maintenance such as autovacuuming tables when idle. I don't think there's a way to completely stop it from working other then shutting it off like EEAA says. If you shut off the autovacuum then you must schedule vacuuming the tables yourself.

comment Add existing wildcard SSL certificate to Amazon EC2 Nginx
If it's self-signed then the certificate is not going to be trusted. What is ssl-shared-cert.inc?

comment Postfix with Dovecot Disconnects after STARTTLS on Port 25
If it works using openssl s_client -starttls smtp command then it's probably not postfix's fault. For your telnet example, you have to negotiate encryption after 220 2.0.0 Ready to start TLS, the regular telnet program isn't going to be able to do that. I suggest looking at postman's configuration and log and see what it's doing.

comment Smart Array B110i SATA RAID failure. Raid volume broken
That RAID controller has an option in its BIOS to disable it and use it as a regular AHCI controller see here, if the BIOS got reset and the controller disabled while you were in the guts, that might explain seeing all 3 drives now. I have no idea what would happen if you rebooted and enabled the RAID again, especially since the drive you're using now will be different from the other.

comment Proftpd: no way to get port 21 as user?
We use proftpd's mod_sftp here specifically because trying to get FTP/FTPS through a firewall is an exercise in frustration and honestly not worth the effort. Both lftp and filezilla support sftp.
