I'm the Fedora Project Leader. I work for Red Hat — and for the Fedora community at large! – but my posts here are all my own.

Previously, I was a sysadmin in the Academic Computing group at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and before that, I made Boston University Linux.

comment How to point CNAME to Digital Ocean droplet
I assume that the downvote is because the voter expects that the target audience of this site know the difference between a CNAME and an A record.

comment Is there a way to get spamassassin to score the top lines of a message body more heavily?
Right -- that "this is not all good" is why I was hoping for a simple, slightly smarter approach.

@mc0e It can't. It's just not that magically smart. A more sophisticated machine-learning system could probably do it, but I think the, um, "one simple trick" that I'm asking for here would as well.

The headers are basically clean. And it's hitting my system before it's in the URL blacklists, although it's often there if I recheck a day or so later. Doing bayesian classification on the words in the subject alone might also help as those are often spammy — but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing that either.

I.... guess this wasn't clear enough?

@kondybas Yes. And this is part of the problem, as the padding text outweighs the spammy part by sheer quantity.

It is unlikely that you can easily recover from this. I hope you had some basic manual backup already!
