comment If an email is sent to a user redirects if OOF is on
I just cannot believe such a relatively simple thing has turned out to be quite difficult. All I wanted was OOO not to forward on one email address but forward the rest :).

It looks as though our system is not setup for IRM. Im intrigued about the RMS templates in the Transport rules but will need assistance in setting it up, so this looks like the best answer so far and closest to the solution.

comment If an email is sent to a user redirects if OOF is on
Hi, Just to completely clarify things. Our users use Out of Office which forward on their emails when they are away on holiday so other users can chase up their work. However we have a new HR system that emails out to everyone and we do not want that email to be forwarded on when they are on holiday to another user.

Hi Joshua, Thank you - this is the sort of thing I was looking for. I have checked the Transport rules and there is "rights protect message with RMS template" which is blank when you click edit, so im looking into creating a Do not Forward Rule. I hope im on the correct path now. Matt

To clarify. If a user has their OOF on, an email sent from a certain address being received is sent to another mailbox (one allocated). Not to be forwarded to another user taking over the emails of the user while they are away or on holiday.

Thank you for your reply. It did not make sense that emails sent to different people that have different content and are in completely different companies brings back the same issue.

comment Cannot find the DHCP Server
@Dan thank you for your advise, everyone is working at the moment - some on static IP's and some on IP's that were issued by DHCP and worked some how. Would you know if trying to restart the DHCP service will affect Users PC's? I have managed to ping net.ang[retracted]c.com and it pings to the main dns server. Both DNS servers are pointing to where they should be.

Yes, we have two domain controllers. The one with the issue is the main domain / DHCP Server.

I was also thinking this would help with load balancing as we have a lot of email traffic, and redundancy in case one of the NIC's die.

Yes we have Exchange 2010 running on the Server and there was an issue with the Server having 4 IP addresses and our ISP which is corrected now, but it will be better moving forward to have one IP address allocated to the Server.

comment Hard coded Exchange name needs to work on another Exchange
Hiya, I did try to explain to the programmers that they should have used a generic name that could be used, but a certain somebody would have to modify lots of code as the Exchange.net is hard coded everywhere.

Hi. This was helpful, but when I created a new certificate and renewed the certificate, the Expiration date was the same. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you.

Hi, I plan to use an Internal CA on another server rather than self certificate or use VeriSign etc. Thank you for the solution below, I will try this later.
