comment Connecting to a LDAPS server
It is a server that is managed by someone else. I checked with them and they told me that the server is listening on the port 686. Could there be anything wrong at my end?

I tried to check for connectivity first using telnet. If this works fine then I will be using LDAP authentication for my application.

Well thanks, but that's the problem. I do not have any default website when I open inetmgr.

I have not done this before, could you tell me how to change the port in IIS 7. The OS is Windows server 2008, if that helps.

I used these commands, but now when I try to access localhost I get a "Unable to connect" error message.
