I'm an IT generalist, who is currently playing the role of a Windows/Linux Sysadmin (primarily focused on Linux and VMWare) for one of the largest CRM service providers in the world who is now Serverfault Valued Associate #00002.

I'm an avid (not particularly great but I'm avid :) gamer, and shooting sports enthusiast in my spare time.

If you have an active support contract you should be able to pull down the right image from support.cisco.com

comment How can I use a Linux BIND DNS server for my Active Directory forest?
It can be done (I haven't done it myself but have seen it) however, this is not a very good setup since AD is SO dependent on DNS. Is there a reason you need to use bind instead of MS DNS?

comment CentOS partition reporting out of space
I would try running strace <command> > ~/trace.log and see what the software is actually doing. Seems like it's doing operations that puts data on the '/' partition

What are you goals in bonding? There may be other modes you can setup that don't require switch config

comment Puppet & Facter - how to determine if running Cent 6 or Cent 5
It's not puppet specific but part of regex. It's a regex anchor (regular-expressions.info/anchors.html). Basically if you didn't do that it could possibly match 6.5 as v5 or 5.6 as v6

comment can ping outgoing servers but cannot telnet to port 80 on http servers
There has got to be a firewall somewhere between you and the internet blocking port 80. Have you checked all network devices between your server and the edge of your network?
