After going to school to become a network administrator, Mike, fell in love with programming. He has been a midrange (IBM i, iSeries, AS/400) developer since 2000. He has since added ASP.NET to to his toolbox (around 2006) and now does dual duty writing/supporting green-screen applications and ASP.NET internet and intranet applications. He does a lot of integration between the IBM i and ASP.NET.

Besides his programming day job, he dabbles in PHP and many other areas of tech.

You can find him on his website, @MikeWills, Facebook, and Google+

Unfortunately, there is not an emulator. I don't know of a great way to write queries when you don't have direct access to the system. At some point in the development cycle, you would need direct access to test your code. There is enough differences that could cause problem that it isn't easy.

Sorry, I meant in the mailing list database. I realize the domain exists.

lotuslive.com doesn't exist. I think that is something that the local ISP uses for some sort of routing or email server.

@frabcus Because there is a process to getting that data. We can then run a query on the data they need/want and give them the data.

We locked them down for security reasons. We aren't opening them up again.

That isn't a solution.

An FTP server is probably the way to go. I was just putting out feelers for options.

Our web server runs on Widows Server, so we have servers. I just wanted to see what else is out there.

All USB drives are blocked on our PCs.

I am thinking usability here. We are talking about having "normal people" use it. I have used the Windows Explorer version of FTP client. That works pretty slick.

I am looking for options to transfer files back and forth. Files much too large for email. Everything secure.

Considering we only collect up to 50 payments a day, seeing excessive visits wouldn't be hard to see. I hope...

Or mobile? Mobile is a high-priority for us. And accessibility, it is the law for us.

I think we would go a different route with that. We have people of all ages and technical ability use the site. I don't thin CAPTCHA is quite where we would go.

This is exactly what I am afraid of. We could implement standard bot-blocking techniques, but who's to say they aren't paying some foreigners to log in manually and pull in information either.

Two "servers". I have one of those NAS devices that require port 80 to be forwarded to it. I am already running multiple web sites.
