comment How does Bind IP to MAC work?
If you read carefully the DrayTek documentation you will know that it is not about DHCP reservation, but instead it is to do with ARP just like other vendors. I do not understand what makes you think DrayTek is any different from other vendors that you keep wanting to go back to vendor specific discussion. Anyway, I will rest my case. Thanks.

I have already explained that binding IP to MAC is not exclusive to DrayTek routers. Care to explain why you insist otherwise before making a sweeping statement?

comment How does Bind IP to MAC work?
I'm sorry but it is not specific to draytek. A lot of routers have this function if you can just google. I specifically do not want DHCP reservation. Question (2) is a real question, as if you are right, then the answer would be the client will not query for an IP and other clients will (not) be able to reach it at the bound IP. Please write that as an answer. Thanks.

I am not asking how to configure it on DrayTek. I am asking a generic question for the sequence of events that happens when the client is connected. Please do not read the long story if it confuses you.

comment Force mapped drive to ask for credential per log on session
Have not tried yet, but according to what I remember, you cannot have 2 drives mapping to the same path. It will complain something along "path is already mapped"?

comment Force mapped drive to ask for credential per log on session
I believe there is already 2-way trust (eliminating the need for 2 accounts) but it will still require an ACL entry for the folders, which it doesn't have at the moment. Besides, this is an uncontrollable situation, can't change anything on the remote file system. My question is also more on discovering whether this option is possible than to solve the root of the actual problem.

Our company has a complicated IT structure and I have limited authority over the said server. I have posted my finding as answer. Thanks for your help, the tools documentation did somewhat help.

I am unfamiliar with Hyper-V, that is why I am hitting blocks every step. I went back to the fundamentals and found the solution eventually.

How is this an end user question? I am trying to administrate the server! If I set the thing up before, or if I knew how to do it, I would not need to ask here, right? I work in a situation where all the servers on the rack except this Hyper-V is done by me, and I wasn't given prior warning that the VMs were set to manual boot before I shut it down for the relocation.

I have downloaded pshyperv and tried to install on my windows 7 and I get a bunch of errors. I read the documentation PDF and it doesn't say where to install. I suppose it needs to be installed on the Hyper-V server itself? I don't know how to do it..

I have VMware EXSI and when it boots, all the VM just boots together. And vSphere is a no brainer...

I did not set up the VM. "then use a server / workstation to manage" how? I have the IP of Hyper-V x.x.2.103 by going through the options on the 2 command prompts. I have tried the UI for Hyper-V. It says host not reachable. I also see options on the Hyper-V o allow/disallow remote management and MMC. All too many options.

Sorry, Z is a DrayTek 3900. What I want to know is whether the IP and subnet configuration should actually work.

Sorry, Z is a DrayTek 3900. It supports Dual WAN and also HA. So, given that Z supports it, is the configuration correct? draytek.co.uk/products/vigor3900.html

comment What are the limitations when running all services on a single static IP?
In response to the hold status, I have changed my original title to better reflect what I was really asking in the beginning. I actually was going to have 2 Video Conference sets of the same model and the answers reminded me that they cannot share the same ports.

comment Adminstrator cannot log on to server via remote desktop after changing default domain policy
That's about right. I also noticed that the behavior is different on different computer eventhough the same user account is used to logged in. e.g. the computer which executed a failed login may take continue to be denied, but a new computer will be able to log in.I think it takes a while for the GPO cache to refresh locally client side.
