You can also take the XID from the ReqStart line, which might be a bit more reliable match. The "-c" switch will restrict the output to client interaction too, and cut down on the noise.

ironically, we've actually just recently migrated away from Exim (Postfix has produced a huge improvement in sending with a largish email newsletter campaign, although the new hardware probably helped too). Well, there are other alternatives too.

The second \ is intentional... you can't do COPY ... TO file unless you're a superuser, whereas a client-side \copy will work for everyone.
