How to move the /root directory on Debian/root is an official directory in *nix. If some program assume that your system respects standard, it will fail and you will not know why. And the error message can be weird (as every error message for unexpected behaviors). |

Clone ubuntu linux hard disk I made an assumptions here that will be false in a near future. I consider that your disk use an MBR, future disk (>2TB) will not any more be usable with standard MBR and this solution will not work any more. |
