Hello, I am an architect from The Netherlands, or better known as "Holland". My knowledge of programming is very tiny and limited only to digital interfaces we interact with as humans or more simply as living mammals.

However, recently I have found out that skilled programming techniques not only are helpful in areas of websites, but also in game design, game interiors, realworld architecture, urbanism, flow controll of hydrolics, balloon flights... and even in designing public parks that interact with humans! The unique outcomes of such projects fascinates me daily.

Feel free to contact me for fun/brainstorms/ideas/projects.

So, when combining, all RewriteCond end with a [OR] except the last RewriteCond (the one before the RewriteRule), right?

comment Fastest loading: Redirect with header location in PHP, or Rewrite with Apache?
Thanks Andy, +1, this sounds more familiar to me. i like the code layout! keeps things neat. Is this faster than Virtual host method that ms has suggested. Gave it a try but helas: errors and nothing loads.. Log file says doesnt know that flag [RL] on Apache/2.0.54 (Fedora). Any idea who to get this redirect to work?

comment url rewrite to make generated thumnails cache like static, a syntax question
Dear DerfK! Astoungly clever as well as Creative options to solve my problem, from the php point of view. I will give your optiona s try! meanwhile the easiest would be (since as you said we are so far with the apache rewrite method) to fix that, but i will give both a try and check back soon here!

comment Lazy Conditional Rule not doing anything! Why?
Hi Dennis, interesting. I see, its just another Does the entire chain group of rules apply to each of the files ( in this case images ) that want to be rewritten, right? I did apply [C] on all except last rule with the unelegant reqritecode above but failed. should it be [C,L] or sometin else?

comment Zlib Compression and Deflate compression. how to use correctly in htaccess?
Thanks Silviud, but why use ZLIB when one can just add the php extension into the DEFLATE paragraph? Is ZLIB faster than DEFLATE for php files? if so, how to define other php content extensions to work with ZLIB? for example if a js or css file containing php code should also be ZLIBBED

Dear Sameer, i updated the question and my htaccess. But even with php set to "public" isntead of "private" still there is caching problem. sometimes they show up as good, other times the return the full content. PS i cand find http headers in Firebug, is that a plugin for Firebug?
