It is possible but slow: 1 GB to download and then 4-5 GB to upload. Sure if there will be no other way to do this directly on server, I'll use this method. :(

Each .difftar.gz volume has 2 subfolders inside: "snapshot" and "multivol_snashot". Each file in "multivol_snapshot" folder represented as folders containing parts of that file (1, 2, 3 etc). I have no idea how to unpack them correctly

I can't remember exactly, but there were lots of them in an "installed software" list. I have removed all of them except the main SQL server items. So now I have only 2 related options left in my software list: "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (64-bit version)" and "Setup software of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2"
