comment rsnapshot LVM fails to remove snapshot volume
Same issue here, Debian Wheezy servers upgraded from Squeeze. LVM snapshots will fail to remove occasionally, often requiring another lvremove attempt to remove the snapshot and resume the parent volume. Also using rsnapshot but this issue isn't related to it. The "-real" comes from Device Mapper I believe, presumably part of how DM handles snapshots for LVM.

comment How to see incoming IPs in Linux?
For completeness, iftop is similar to iptraf - an ncurses based app that uses bar graphs rather than just numbers - to display bandwidth usage per IP address. With the -P option you can get it per port as well.

So it is, thanks. Not exactly the obvious acronym at first glance ever... WOW64 = "Windows 32-bit on Windows 64-bit"... Not had much exposure to this aspect of Windows, thanks for the correction.

Odd that this 32bit/64bit issue only seems to arise for the /Sr switch, since I hadn't come across it with any of the other uses of PrintUI.dll such as installing printers.

Thanks, the hotfix solves the problem. However since its a 32/64bit issue, I've now tried using the 64bit version of rundll32.exe in SysWOW64, which I've found works as expected on systems without the hotfix applied: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /Sr /n "printer name" /a "settings.dat".

Just encountered this myself using rundll32 printui.dll /Sr /n "printer name" /a "settings.dat" after running the same command with the /Ss switch, under Windows 7 64bit Enterprise. Gives the same error as above.

comment Software RAID1 ready to fail - How can I degrade manually?
Aslong as you can positively identify which drive is which... and that nothing has caused what was previously labeled sda by the OS to swap with sdb, thus inverting whatever the drives were physically labeled as (or remembered as), e.g. the move to UUID for disk identification.
