It's a Dell PowerVault MD3620f. We just used the SAN's support log export. I don't think we used SMCli or SNMP.

But I would much rather replace an SSD in a planned effort on a slow day than whenever it decides to die. So these stats would be good to have so we can see the end of life coming.

That article says that it only applies to .NET 1.0 and 1.1. But I'll try it. Thanks.

Thanks for the extra detail! I couldn't find anything to indicate that would work.

That said, thanks for the FreeNAS suggestion. I'll take a look.

I don't mind the markup. My problem is that none of them offer a low-end SSD option for users that don't need huge write endurance.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I checked HO's site, and all their SSD options are as over-specified and expensive as the Dell options. We will probably implement caching tier(s) at some point, but I was hoping for a fairly cheap quick upgrade that would buy some extra runway.

comment Why do my IIS6 requests freeze for a long time in the HTTPSYS_CACHEABLE stage?
I'm not sure if it's considered rude to answer my own question. But, I had a lot of trouble finding any resources to help me analyze this, so I figured I should record it for the next person who runs into it.
