I've been for twenty years in the science, writing, and management of the programming craft. During that time I've specialized in language theory, information visualization, scientific simulation, and, more lately, software project management based on agile methods.

I regularly wrote for printed computing magazines before the Internet obsoleted most of them. The writing I do now is for my blog, and the innumerable on-line forums about the craft.

I grew up professionally with the x86 and Windows, but later challenges took me to systems programming on the Java Platform, and eventually to a configuration that is close to 100% open/free software. I'm one of the authors of the TRANUS Transportation and Land-Use simulation system.

My current interest (paying projects permitting) is in exploring Python+friends as an all-purpose/any-project programming environment.

I'm fluent in Spanish and English, and have working knowledge of Italian and French.
