Easy LDAP Server Setup? For a Debian/Ubuntu compatible FreeIPA alternative, try Zivios. I have no experience with it beside installing a fairly old version only to determine it wasn't suitable for my needs at the time. Regarding FreeIPA, what backend administration is more difficult than I think (and how do you know how difficult I think it is?). |

TurnKey FileServer Appliance - SAMBA Shares configuration Under your share definition, you can list admin users with the admin users = <username> directive. However, I haven't looked into how to allow file creation while simultaneous disallowing modifying or deleting files for other non-admin users. |
