Windows Server 2008 Cluster Errors I seem to get this same error few random times a week. The network guys checked and all seems OK. The VMs on the cluster also do not seem to be affected by this. Has anyone found the real issue /fix for this ? |

How to check performance of a VM and the ESXi5 host? I got the thresholds from the vSphere documentation. Thanks! |

How to allocate resources if a single virtual machine is hosted on a VMware ESXi5 host? the VM is a modified *nix machine from Symantec. Im not sure if we can make it a physical. No other VMs on this host, and none planned either. We recently got this new client, so we are still exploring the possibilities here. I had assigned 3.2GB for the VM, so this should be fine. I am going to have to check if this is a multi-threaded application. Thanks for your observations. |

How to check performance of a VM and the ESXi5 host? I knew about this option and exported it to a spreadsheet. My concern here is the disk performance. The sheet on disk performance gives data, I am not sure if these are disk queue length (the values are not labeled I think and am not sure if these values and thresholds to compare performance with would be same as those in a windows server 2003/2008). Apologies, I should have been more clear in my first query. |

How can we check PowerShell v2.0 is installed on a list of servers? do you know of a way we can input multiple credentials for servers in multiple domains (Ihave a few servers which use Citrix and are in a different domain. I can just check them physically, though it would be great to know if we can do this) |

How can we check PowerShell v2.0 is installed on a list of servers? This is correct. However, with all due respect, I cannot mark this as the answer for the only reason that my query was to check multiple/list of machines. |

How can we check PowerShell v2.0 is installed on a list of servers? Error says: Exception calling "GetValueKind" with "1" argument(s): "The specified registry key does not exist." At D:\Whiz\MyScripts\findPS1.ps1:7 char:28 + $ref = $regKey.GetValueKind <<<< ("\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\PowerShellEngine\PowerShellVersion") + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [], MethodInvocationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : DotNetMethodException ... though this script looks OK, looks like something about the way it calls the registry. I am still trying to figure this out. |

How can we check PowerShell v2.0 is installed on a list of servers? I tested on my PC first. I replaced "RemoteComputer" with "FQDN of my server", and it tells me my PC does not have PowerShell. I am not sure what the value of $ref is and how it works here. |

How can we check PowerShell v2.0 is installed on a list of servers? Im trying the second script, Invoke-command does not seem to be working, and gives the error: "Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot complete the operation within the time specified." Do I have to enable WinRM service on the machines ? |
