The number suffixes are almost certainly PIDs. So you know the PID of the stuck mountd, probably. Try running a system call tracer on them to find out what's up with them.

If you take this approach, watch out for the race condition. That is, the possibility that the contents of the filesystem changes in between the two commands. Also the fact that in the first command line, the -depth option is not in effect, while it is in the second (becasue it is implicity tuend on by -delete).
