You have to talk to your Dell sales rep. They are not a standard item.

comment setting server hostname
Actually just run /etc/init.d/hostname.sh start and it will set it for you as well.

comment Amanda, Bacula, BackupPC Which has a reliable windows client?
One correction. Bacula can and does restore to remote systems as well. Bacula also can do TLS encrytpion between the File Deamon (client) and the servers. Also it can even encrypt the data on the client if the information is sensative. I use bacula to backup about 59+ servers with my full backups storing over 12TB of data.

Kernel Packages not follow autoremove. Autoremove is only for dependencies that are no longer used by anything installed in the system.

comment NIC are not advertising Correct Speeds
Changing Ports was the First thing I did. I have not tried to force to 1000/Full on both sides, I will try that. 0 Errors in the interfaces. With an uptime 14 days. The time when this server was installed.

comment Software raid mdadm not adding spare
-1 for giving bad advice on the raid-1. There is no need to try to save a failed HDD, and Raid1 is designed to survive down to 1 disk. Just get a new disk. Add it in to the Raid array. If you want to make sure you can boot from that disk then install grub on it as well. I would recomend that you install grub on both of the disks if they are in a raid1, that way you can easily recover if one drive dies and you have to power off to replace the disk.

That is only 1/2 right. You have to restart udev (or reboot) to get the new names to take affect.

comment Easy LDAP Server Setup?
He stated he was working on Ubuntu. FreeeIPA is Redhat/Fedora only. And the backend administration is more difficult then you think when you have to add more servers.

comment Stop an unstoppable openvz container
The solution ended up having to reboot the host server to force the container off.

They are hardware encrypted when they are written to my tape. I forget the level of encryption, but I know it's over a 1024 bit key.

I'm not really sure. It's a server with multiple containers. One has something in the D state.

comment Stop an unstoppable openvz container
Yea I'm aware of the vzctl stop. That does not stop the container.

comment Copy UFW rules between servers
I found it in /lib/ufw/user.rules and /lib/ufw/user6.rules. I copy that between server, deactivate and reactive ufw and the rules applied.
