comment Docker & Shorewall
Sorry about that, I missed out a change in the interfaces file. I've edited the answer, see new section /etc/shorewall/interfaces.

comment Configure OpenVPN client to continue trying after authorization fails
Ah I see, so it's really a config name rather than a device name; just that the config name is named after the device?

Great idea, although I suspect the init scripts are specific to each Linux distribution. On Debian Wheezy /etc/init.d/openvpn restart tap0 gives failure: No such VPN is running: tap0. I can't find any reference to the device in the script. Which version of Linux are you using?

comment How to maximise a window within a Windows remote desktop session
Thanks, I often work full screen as you describe and there's no issue there. Other times, I want to work in a smaller window, for example if I'm often switching between local and remote, and then the Remote Desktop-specific shortcuts are in use. My question was about those shortcuts.

comment Trouble using update-rc.d to change Debian startup order
Works a treat, thanks. My only concern with editing /etc/init.d/tomcat7 is whether or not a future apt-get upgrade will overwrite it? For anyone else with this problem, note that I needed to update-rc.d remove/add as above, and the relevant line looks like this: Required-Start: $local_fs $remote_fs $network mysql

Indeed, it's not quite what I was looking for, but thanks for going to the trouble with the screen grab.

That's great, thanks. :) I'd forgotten about this menu, I think I used it in the days before Windows 7. It's a two-step short cut but I suspect that's as good as it gets.

comment How to install php cli with pnctl alongside Zend Server
Thanks for the quick answer. First point works a treat, no need for symlink anymore. Second point didn't make any difference (left out the lib64 because it isn't present). Which directory within lib should contain the pnctl module, and what should it be called?
