I understand its a text file, I have the previous settings and current incorrect one. I'm trying to narrow down why this is "reverting" back to the old settings. I'm sure its the remote admins but I had to ask if there was some crazy way it could be modified.

I'm trying to narrow down their "genius" responses. Can the boot.ini be modified during startup to revert back to the previous settings.

So a key cannot be simply copy and pasted back into the new installation on the same machine with the same OS (In this case I am referring to Mac OS X)?
