Running script in Crontab every 3 days once I was going to say yes, but it seems to run on the 28th and again on the 1st as mentioned in the other answer (proof: goo.gl/PSwY4). Your point is valid though, since it would only leave a 3-day gap on months containing 30 days (Apr/Jun/Sep/Nov). All other months would have a 1-day gap except February on a leap year. Choosing two weekdays instead might give more consistent results (eg. Tuesday and Friday: 30 19 * * 2,5). |

How does a domain beginning with www.uk get resolved? Yes, it stands for "world wide web" and is not needed for the browser to know that http:// maps to port 80 by default. Just a relic from the past.. there are arguments both for (1,2) and against (1) keeping it. Serverfault opts for redirecting to a naked (no-www) domain name. |

safe to get rid of /old? I broke a toy VPS and had my hosting provider rebuild it. They stored the file system from the broken VPS at /old on the newly imaged one to allow me to recover any files I needed. |

Should pcs be unplugged before restoring power Worth noting: some BIOSs have features such as "Auto-Power ON after power failure", "Wake-on-LAN", etc. |
