Working as System Administrator and Web Developer for fun and profit, free software and opensource enthusiast, messing around with any kind of servers, great fan of the simplicity of Debian, Ubuntu and ArchLinux, hateful of any rpm-based distribution, secret love for *BSD.

Well-know technologies: Debian, Ubuntu, Linux-KVM, OpenNebula, Proxmox, GlusterFS, MooseFS, PHP, Symfony, Java, PlayFramework.

Don't mind: every commercial software/hardware solution

Hates: Windows*, Oracle

comment install Gluster inside a VM, or set up a VM on top of Gluster?
what will serve apache? I don't think you are doing this with a plain-html web site?

check kernel.log or dmesg, usually that sort of bad things happens with OOM killer or hardware faults.

comment Jenkins Linux Slave error: SEVERE: I/O error in channel channel
This behaviour may indicate also the presence of a fascist firewall that is resetting tcp connections after a timeout. You are able to do a build right after enabling the slave? Can you move the slave or the master to another place?

comment Jenkins fighting with Django over permissions
can you describe what the job is doing in more details? A standard job should fetch and do things with the application entirely with jenkins user, if you are keeping your application elsewhere managed by you and not by jenkins, you are doing it wrong.

comment Is it possible to start LXC container inside LXC container?
Real world use case: I have an LXC container running jenkins, and I want jenkins to be able to run LXCs containers before executing integration tests. Alternatives: run jenkins outside LXC, or create LXC containers on the host via ssh (ugly).
