comment Server Permissions conundrum
Except if the Everyone RW permission somehow does not apply to the Helpdesk group, then you would see something similar. Can you elaborate on the scopes of the different groups; ie Domain Local, Global, Universal?

Ah, you were probably noticing that Web Edition doesn't support "Remote Desktop Services"? That's Microsoft's new name for Terminal Services. Remote Administration is still supported.. See this comparison: microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/r2-compare-specs.aspx

It does allow two simultaneous remote administrators, just like all the other Windows Servers... x64 is more secure for one thing because it only allows signed drivers. Also, the kernel is more locked down, so no third party is allowed to make changes, something AV vendors have been all up in arms about.. Google (with Bing :)) "Windows x64 security features" and Paul Thurrott's article for Windows IT Pro Magazine should be right on the top (shortcut: windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/50522/…)

It will work exactly like any other Windows Server, bar the limitations that the server cannot run AD DS services for instance. Dive in to this chart for the differences in editions: microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/r2-compare-specs.aspx
