comment Default gateway is in different subnet. How to configure in RHEL6.2
OK. Suppose I have 192.168.0.0/24 with no free IPs in my phisical net. How do I reach them if my IP is 192.168.2.1/24 (192.168.1.0/24 is unavaliable for some reason) without gateway (suppose there is no gateways at all. Only plain switched network)?

I can't :) See comment to @devicenull answer. It's real situation with two /29 subnets. For now I'll wait to see if there is any other way.

Yes. Besides subnets in example it's absolutely real situatin where my ISP gave me one /29 subnet with GW and 5 usable ips and after a while another totally different /29 (so I can't aggregate them to single /28) subnet with 6 usable ip (without separate GW) and routed it to my interface. I personaly don't see anything magical reaching any device with any ip when it resides in common physical net

I've edited original message to be more specific about configuration. There is only one interface: eth0

Yeap. eth0 inet 2.0.0.1 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway is on the same VLAN and it's arp address is in arp table. Gateway ip address is 1.0.0.1

OK. Can you then add --delete-master-logs to mysqldump and try to re-make all the steps above?

But maybe problem is really on couchbase server side as their implementation of extension to communicate with couchbase server disables sasl part for some reason. Their extension is based on the same php-memcached extension which again relay on libmemcached

1. No any errors on PHP side. Exact error description for error code 5 I got by modifying source code of extension to write error desc. to log file, because error code 5 could mean other things also. 2. "memcached.use_sasl = 1". No, haven't set it. I'll try and update original post. 3. Couchbase log is almost empty on authentication. So no, no any errors. I think the problem may be on php-memcached side as I can connect successfully with native PHP implementation.

Furthermore I can't see Master_Log_File which should be there along with Read_Master_Log_Pos. It's quite confusing. Something is definitely wrong

The most strange thing is that you're getting "Read_Master_Log_Pos: 4" in status. Can you check it in dump file? With '--flush-logs' it should be 0 for sure. Could you also make "REPAIR NO_WRITE_TO_BINLOG TABLE <table_name>;" on master (if it's not InnoDB)?

How did you end up with "Master_Host: x.x.x.x Master_User: xx" without issuing "CHANGE MASTER ...". Or you just didn't mentioned it in answer? Have you checked binlog format and what was the command line for mysqldump?

As I wrote in comment to ckliborn's answer many days ago SASL works with native PHP implementation. And of course I know that backet name is username than.
