I'm here, so the fact that I like to program should be obvious. My preference is for .Net, typically VB but C# is fine, too. (I didn't jump ship like everyone else when VB went OO, maybe that's a good thing, maybe a bad thing, I'll let you decide.) On the web I'm pretty anal about browser compatibility - I use FF but I know there's still a large chunk of IE6 users so we still have to support them. I'm also a bit semantic-web guy, I like my HTML to have some meaning. Oh, and print stylesheets make everyone's life just a little bit better.

comment Why does RoboCopy create a hidden system folder?
I'm having the same problem with a hidden network share ($). I ran Get-Item on that share and it also says d--hs so I guess that's the reason! Thanks!

comment IP vs Server/machine name - WCF hosted on IIS 7.5
In a Windows environment, when you access a machine by machine name only you either need to use WINS/NetBIOS (legacy) or have the client configured with a DNS suffix search list.

Thanks, I forgot to say that I didn't want to introduce an alternate port.

comment How do I track whether a email was successful among thousands (IIS 6, .NET 3.5)
@Mods, there's no reason to close this, its a legitimate question. IIS acts as an intermediate that accepts pretty much anything. The question is how to get more information from IIS or bypass it completely.
