A partner wants a copy of our written IT security policy and I'm not sure what to do
I used to always use an NIST template to quickly create a security policy, but I don't have a copy anymore and a quick google can't find the originals anymore (I think NIST now charges). The government of California has some good resources, including templates, at oispp.ca.gov/government/Library/samples.asp the above suggestion of the SANS Institute is a great resource too.
