i tried adding a push "route 10.15.119.0 255.255.255.0 on the server configuration, restarted, but still no ping replies to the secondary server get back to the client

sorry for not answering earlier @TiZon, i really need this to use tun/routing as bridging might conflict with performance and security requirements. Also, i would say that 90% sure the problem is that the routes are being found but the packets somehow do not make it back to the client, so it seems the problem sits at a lower-level than openvpn

hi @wolfgangsz, i've added the result of tcpdump, and as you suspected, the packets are being dropped for some reason, even after i commented all DROP or REJECT commands in iptables

@AdrianK, i've tried adding a route on the secondary server to reach out the vpn network but it only works to reach the openvpn server again, the details are on the question

nothing, all packets are lost with running ping 10.15.119.6 (my client ip) on all machines on the LAN except on the VPN server, where it pings and connects (to the client) with ssh without a hitch
