comment Automate SVN UP process on multiple application servers
This is essentially how you automate syncing multiple repositories with svn sync, you add a post-commit hook to the source that sends the sync commands to the other repos (from memory. It was a long time ago).

comment Security concerns with enabling PowerShell on a production server
@mfinni yes. I sign every script I sent out to our customers, and I made Sign-Script alias that does this easily. But so many people don't.

comment How does HA / failover work?
@piotrek that is a common way. Another way would be to virtualise it and use your virtualisations high availability options.

comment How does HA / failover work?
@piotrek then you configure your HAProxy server to be highly available. But you don't do this with DNS. Yes, some people use DNS for failover, but it's far from an ideal solution. There are plenty of ways of making HAProxy highly available, most of them involving something like keepalived.

comment Auto DHCP IP Phones to a different subnet
@JoeJMCIT You can configure the native VLAN on your switchport as the phone VLAN and just plug it in, and if you're using the piggyback port then enable that port for trunking of the data VLAN. Or if your network is more complex, you might need to pre-configure your phones for 802.1q tagging on the phone configuration as well.

@blaughw don't stress over it. Feel free to edit that script it. It's hardly proprietary stuff :) I'd edit it in but I'm not sure where you'd want me to put it.
