No, the ethernet cable and NIC were the same each time. In fact, there is only one NIC which is the built-in motherboard one.

In that case, why do downloads become corrupt when sent to a ramdisk, bypassing the hard drive? Why are downloads to the USB drive corrupt? [edit: I am the other guy!]

Right, so there is technically no difference between running "rsnapshot daily" and "rsnapshot monthly" other than it places the links/files into separate subdirectories?
