I'm not sure how that would break anything, considering that only Windows' API will have to actually "work" with the paths, since programs can't access the file system directly.

Thank you. Having multiserver-support in the bnc would be helpful because then I won't have to deal with it myself in the code for my own bot. I'm not sure what you mean by "botnet" but the purpose of the IRC bot will be distribution of various messages to the appropriate channels/servers - much like Wikipedia does with update messages for atricles.
