comment How can I prevent myself from being automatically logged out of a cisco nexus switch because of inactivity
The switch's inactivity timer only cares about keystrokes... that's why ServerAliveInterval doesn't help. In principle, you could build some kind of expect wrapper for your ssh sessions. That script needs to be smart enough to send a space / backspace every minute or so... I'm too lazy to write that myself, but I freely license the idea to whoever answers with a working script.

comment Root cause of “curl: (56) SSL read: errno -5961” errors
@jngshl, I noticed that there was an MTU mismatch (which I discovered by using the tracepath command). Then I simply made the MTU match throughout the whole Vlan.

comment Cisco 2921 ISR Installation concerns
@HaydnWVN, a non-PoE AC system burns 60W with no modules plugged into it (reference). When you account for modules, it will consume up to 320W.

comment Cisco 2921 ISR Installation concerns
@HaydnWVN, a good rule of thumb for cooling... look at the power consumption of the unit in Watts, convert to BTUs, and that's how much extra cooling you need. Apologies, I thought you were saying you wanted to wall-mount this router

Using ciscoconfparse in java should be possible if you use jython. Please file an issue on github if you run into a jython integration problem

comment What does 'Si' mean with respect to network switches?
No, the Catalyst 2950 did not exist in the 1990s, and that is when the Si icon in question was first marketed. Perhaps you got the idea that it's "Standard Image" from Leo Laohoo's answer; while Leo is usually spot-on, in this case he's quite full of poo. The answer from acampbell on the same page is correct (and provides proof).
