comment Apache - Bogus marker and Bogus Huffman table definition entries in error_log
@ShaneMadden Just to report back, even LogLevel debug does not show any further info for Bogus marker/Huffmann entries.

Yeah, wanted to avoid that. Still searching for a more general solution. Maybe a tool which is able to recursively check tens of thousands images for errors? Anyways, I'll nevertheless try to find a low-traffic slot tomorrow to get some LogLevel debug data. Thanks for your input so far.

Unfortunately not. The "Bogus Huffman/marker" entries in the error_log do not contain timestamps (in contrast to all the other error_log entries). Other entries surrounding a "Bogus" entry let me reduce it to a known time span, but this time span ranges from several minutes up to hours, which means hundreds (if not thousands) of possible correlations to access_log entries.

I could only identify some PHP 5.2.16 scripts using gd2 library functions so far, but chances are there also are Java, Ruby and maybe more servlets/scripts involved. That's why I was hoping to find some general way to identify the buggy images.

Thank you. I'm not sure whether it's a problem. I'm no admin, but got the job to try to optimize the apache processes (lucky me^^). I was wondering what semtim means and if these processes could be the apache spare servers waiting for requests. Can I say an apache process waiting for a semaphore is idle?

Tested both setups. In our case Solr on the dedicated database server yielded better results. Thank you.

@NickDownton: updated my question. I'm not sure though, how to get more informative memory usage and disk utilisation values.
