comment Hubs/switches taking out switches?
what is meant by "dumb hub apparently caused the 3700's to freak out?" What does freak out mean? What, specifically, is happening? All these other comments about broadcast storms and loops are erroneous in nature. The IEEE Spanning Tree protocol has protections against such things. It might help if you dumped a copy of your "show run" for the switch.

"and more efficiently than Courier or Cyrus" I don't suppose you have data to back that claim up do you? If you do, I'd like to see it.

comment How do I setup apache to have two domains pointing to the same web app
not sure why I was down voted 3x when my answer (A) closely matches the accepted answer and (B) the original post was not very clear and my response gives the intended result as the accepted one. In other words, the original post makes no mention of keeping some content separate. So whom ever down voted this, please be careful in the future!

not possible. The unit is totally unresponsive after it has powered up and has gone through one of the two scenarios I mentioned. In fact, hitting the any of the front panel buttons yields no response what so ever. I've even tried power it up with no SCSI cables, just a terminator (tried both ports) and I get same behavior. The fact that the unit powers up tells me that the electronics may be OK and that it may be an alignment issue. I suppose also it could be a failing power supply too. Just no details about what the light really is on for.

Agreed, also, you could multi-home the Linux router and policy route based on traffic destine for the new IP. You can multi-home without adding a NIC card too; i.e. multiple IPs bound to same physical interface.
